A recent Kinsey Report from April 29th titled “Covid-19 and Jobs” attempts to grapple with the enormity of Covid’s impact on the American job market. Whereas the news is mostly bleak–unprecedented filings for unemployment and a purported 57 million jobs labeled as “vulnerable,” there are some sectors that are seeing upticks. Sure, some are obvious, like nursing, but others, like “writers and authors” and “translators” are less so. Where are jobs growing during this period of otherwise radical contraction?
Join us for a discussion about how to be employable in a post-COVID world. We’ll be looking at forecasts about where jobs are being created and what companies will be looking to fill them. We’ll also be talking about resources that we can tap into right now to prepare ourselves better for the coming shifts in hiring, and in economic growth areas.
