WORKSHOP: WRITE YOUR STORY

March 8th-10th

Steve Friedman’s Write Your Story Weekend Workshop has been a true game-changer for the women who have taken it since we first put it together two years ago. A few students have published essays that they started in the workshop, but most have had little interest in publishing. They took the workshop because they were feeling stuck and realized that it could be useful to dig deep and take a second look at their own narrative in a safe, supportive environment.

10 Pre-Divorce Moves Every Woman Should Make

When I realized I was facing divorce 8 years ago, I knew that I needed to take action and had big decisions to make. But I was the first in my social circle to split and had no friends to turn to for advice or even a good attorney referral. That led me to start UNtied, an in real-life and online...

So, Who Gets the Friends?

While we applaud Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin's lovely letter informing, um, THE WORLD, of their thoughtful journey through separation, it got us thinking of how little is mentioned in the literature about separation and divorce on what to do about friendships. Here, I've jotted down a few...

Don’t Be The Toxic Parent This Season

Do You  find yourself doing any of the following? Make your children choose between you and your ex? Argue with the other parent in front of your child? Use your child as a messenger or mediator? Speak badly about the other parent to a relative, friend or colleague in the presence of your...

this isn’t your typical support group

from our members

“At a moment when I was in complete shock, stunned and had absolutely no idea how to proceed, it was enormously comforting and helpful to have a group of brilliant women to turn to, each of whom had suggestions, and stories. Knowing you are not alone is big!”

Liz

“I got my lawyer through UNtied! I was totally clueless about collaborative divorce before going to one of your panels. UNtied saved me a lot of time, pain and money. Eternally grateful!”

Nancy

“You have given so many of us the tools we need to stand on our own. Thank you!”

Ruth

“Thank you for creating a safe space for women in the different stages of divorce to share, support, and learn from each other. For many of us, there is no community to turn to for support. Of course, our friends and loved ones reach out to comfort us, but connecting with others going through similar experiences is invaluable.”

You don’t have to go it alone.
