In Person Workshop
“In myth, in ritual, and in theology, the broken heart is not
a regrettable symptom of derailment, but is rather
the starting point of anything that matters.”
–Kimberley Patton, professor, Harvard Divinity School
Grief & Gratitude In Person with Jenny Douglas
Many of us who have made our way through divorce know that the above quote isn’t just true in myth, ritual and theology. It has been true in our lives. The key for us has been to be fully present for ourselves as we make our way through this challenging time; to be open to the strong, often contradictory emotions that are part of this transition.
In this unique workshop, you will have a chance to explore this terrain in a safe and intimate group. Through a combination of readings, writing exercises and reflections, we’ll visit grief and anger, despair and forgiveness, freedom and gratitude. As workshop creator Jenny Douglas puts it, “we’ll clear out what needs clearing out, in order that we might be sufficiently prepared to welcome what’s longing to come to us next.”
One of our most celebrated offerings, this workshop is
highly recommended for anyone beginning or in the midst of separation or divorce.
