Which way to go?

New York is one of several states where some family law matters can be handled in a dedicated family court. While divorce proper is handled exclusively at the supreme court level, matters related to domestic violence, child support, maintenance and custody or visitation can also be addressed in family court. Sometimes, when faced with a pressing or urgent issue, a savvy decision about which court to bring it can make a very big difference.

John Yacos, a NYC family lawyer who has worked extensive experience in both courts, will talk about how to determine which system offers the best prospects for different situations.
