Please join us to meet one of our favorite divorce lawyers who recently published her first novel. Based in large part on her own experience as one of Philadelphia’s top family attorneys, the book explores the aftermath of a golden couple’s divorce through the lens of five characters whose lives intersect.
Every Other Weekend, portrays some fallout symptoms of family break up that many of us may be all too familiar with. But author Margy Klaw tries to show us the way a single event can appear entirely differently through the eyes of various players in the drama. We also get glimpses of the day-to-day preoccupations and inner life of some usually distant and august figures (ie. attorneys and judges) who make up the family legal system.
During this in person evening, you’ll meet other women from UNtied’s community over cocktails and light bites. We’ll hear from Margy about her goals for this realistic tale of divorce, and about her decision after three decades in family law, to start a writing career at sixty-two. And if you’ve ever wanted to ask a lawyer how they really feel about the clients and cases they take on, this may be a perfect opportunity 😉
