Sometimes you have a sinking feeling that your spouse isn’t coming clean about his or her finances. Maybe your spouse runs a business so things aren’t entirely transparent. Maybe he or she has been unwilling to share details about your marital finances for years. Meet the Expert

Tracy Coenen, CPA, CFF, MAFF, is a successful forensic accountant whose firm Sequence Inc. regularly handles high net worth divorce cases. Her experience made her aware of the enormous number of divorces that call for a forensic investigation but never receive one because the cost of hiring a forensic accountant is prohibitively high for most Americans. She has since become nationally known as an educator on forensics for the National Bar Association, as well as major media outlets (CBS, the Wall Street Journal among others). She eventually created a program called The Divorce Money Guide, designed to empower individuals to be their own forensic accountants, regardless of their previous financial knowledge and experience.
